Clear answers before you start

We believe that a consulting project should never feel mysterious. The goal of this FAQ is to explain our way of working in simple, practical terms.

General questions

How we start, who we work with and what kind of topics are a good fit for Lenalabusga Financial Consulting.

Most of our clients are Italian SMEs and mid-sized groups with annual revenue between €3M and €150M. They operate in manufacturing, services, technology, logistics and retail.

The common factor is not the sector but the situation: they are facing important decisions about growth, pricing, investments or financing and want a clearer financial view before moving ahead.

No. Our office is in Milan, but we serve clients across Italy and occasionally abroad when they have strong connections to the Italian market.

Many engagements combine in-person workshops in Milan or at your headquarters with remote sessions to keep momentum between key meetings.

Typical starting points include clarity on profitability by business line, designing a growth plan that matches your cash position, preparing for bank negotiations or funding rounds, and rethinking pricing or investment priorities.

During the initial call we help you define the key question and suggest the smallest project that can answer it meaningfully.

We typically work in English or Italian, or a mix of both depending on your team and stakeholders. Reports and key materials can be prepared in either language.

Process and practicalities

How engagements are structured, what information we need, and what happens after the project ends.

Most engagements follow three phases: foundation, design and execution. We start by clarifying goals and collecting data, then explore practical growth and funding scenarios, and finally turn the chosen path into a roadmap with owners and milestones.

Depending on your size and complexity, this can take from six to twelve weeks, with a combination of workshops and focused analysis between sessions.

We usually ask for recent financial statements, management reports and basic operational data such as headcount, capacity, customer or product breakdowns.

During the first workshop we refine the list together. Our goal is to use information that you can access regularly, so that the tools we build remain sustainable after the project.

We work best when finance, operations and commercial leaders are all present for key discussions. Your team provides context for the numbers; we provide structure, challenge and facilitation.

Between workshops, we keep requests focused and realistic so that the project supports day-to-day work instead of competing with it.

You keep all materials, models and dashboards created during the engagement. We design them so that your internal team can maintain and adapt them over time.

Many clients invite us back at key turning points, but there is no obligation. Our success is measured by how confidently you can move forward on your own.

Designed for clarity and continuity

We build tools and routines you can keep using after the engagement: monthly indicators, board packs and simple dashboards aligned with your strategy.

Fees, confidentiality and data

How we think about pricing, how we protect your information and what tools we use during projects.

Our projects are normally priced as fixed-fee engagements based on scope, complexity and expected duration. This gives you cost certainty and aligns our incentives with delivering clear outcomes.

For very open-ended situations we may suggest a short diagnostic phase first, followed by a detailed proposal once we understand your context better.

We occasionally support smaller or earlier-stage companies when there is a clear strategic question and committed leadership team. In those cases we adapt the scope so that the project stays proportionate to your size.

During the first conversation we will be transparent if we believe another type of advisor or programme would be a better fit.

Confidentiality is central to our work. We sign mutual non-disclosure agreements when appropriate and restrict access to your data to the project team only.

We use secure tools for document sharing and follow internal protocols that align with European data protection principles. More details are available in our Privacy Policy and can be discussed during the proposal stage.

No. Lenalabusga.com is independent and does not receive commissions or incentives from banks, investors or other financial institutions.

If we introduce potential partners or institutions, it is solely because we believe they may be relevant to your situation, and we disclose any existing relationships transparently.
